I have proposed a design for an ambitious COVID-19 Memorial Monument at The Long Beach, California City Hall Plaza.
This is to honor those who were lost, those who still suffer losses and to salute the first brave responders, store workers and scientists who selflessly stood unflinchingly between us and the risk we faced to protect us.
This is the sketch in the proposal I have submitted to the City. It will compete against those of many, many talented and capable local and international artists, but I feel proud to have done my best and “put it into the hat”!
